Doug Long Shannon Pitner Gerald Proctor Dr. Mickey Solomon Bill King Hart Green Steve Pendleton David Pendleton WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS: Council Explorer Chairman Bill Morris extended a welcome to all present and each person present introduced himself to the group. EXPLANATION OF OPERATING COMMITTEE STRUCTURE: A detailed explanation of the proper method for setting up a District Explorer Operating Committee was described by Bill Morris. It was recommended that Bill Morris, Dr. Sam Anderson and Shannon Pitner visit each District Explorer Operating Committee meeting to assist with organization. ROAD RALLY: Gerald Proctor and Explorer Steve Pendleton explained the Road Rally to the committee. The Road Rally preliminary meeting is scheduled for September 11 at Boy Scout Service Center at 7:30 P.M. Shannon Pitner is to order additional Road Rally kits prior to the September 11, Road Rally preliminary meeting. It was decided that the actual date for the Road Rally would be determined at the September 11 meeting. Gerald Proctor is to have representatives of Lincoln-Mercury at the Road Rally meeting. EXPLORER OLYMPICS, 1970: The Explorer Olympics, 1970 Program introduced by Bill Morris. Committee voted to participate in the Olympics.
