The annual SR-6 Conclave will be April 20-22
at the Skymont Scout Reservation. Lodge 293 is
hosting Conclave this year. This year the section
has picked to have a theme, which is “The end of
the world.” Every year the Lodge picks a theme
for Conclave, and the theme this year is pirates.
This theme has not been done before and will be a
very fun theme to take to Conclave! Come
support the Lodge to be the best Lodge in the
section!
Register
online
at
www.Chickasawbsa.org by selecting the Calendar
and going to the month of April.
Conclave is a very exciting event with many
great classes to take. Earn your Bachelors,

offered at Conclave. Also, there will be some
classes offered that can teach Arrowmen about
all of the different opportunities and activities in
the Order of the Arrow. For those of you who
have never been to a Conclave, it is a gathering of
Arrowmen from around the ten lodges in our
section. On average, there is about 800 to 1,000
Arrowmen in attendance. Conclave is also a place
to compete with the other Lodges in our section,
so come support your Lodge!
Conclave will also offer an awesome
opening campfire. Also, there will be many fun
games played such as: root beer challenge, tug of
war, brown bag special, SPAM toss, baby bottle

So how do you plan on spending your
summer? Well what if I could tell you of an
option that gets you out of your house for
7 weeks? That option is to be a Kia Kima
staffer. Being a Kia Kima staffer allows you
the opportunity to help with other young
Scouts and show the cheerful service that
our Lodge is about. Well even if that isn't
your style maybe you would enjoy getting
to teach someone a new skill or even help
them get better at an old skill.
If you are interested then apply today at
www.KiaKima.com! Interviews will be
taking place soon so don’t wait!

Sakima Machque is the lodge's largest chapter, being so we have
the most fun. This year Sakima Machque is planning on doing
ceremonies, Indian dances, and tons of cheerful service. This year
we have planned to kick it off with ceremonies, hoping to get our own
team started and possibly do Ordeal and Brotherhood Ceremonies.
We have already picked out teams and hope to have them doing Fall
Ordeal. After that is Cheerful Service, what would the Order of the
Arrow be without it? Members of the Chapter have planned on
attending Fellowships, Ordeals, and even Service Corps at
Scoutbase! Sakima Machque is going to have a fun year and hope
all of our Chapter members join us for it!
If you are interested in getting more involved in the Sakima Machque
Chapter, then contact the Chapter Chief, Adam Carr.
