CHICKASAH LODGE #406

JULY 1981

Welcome to the Fall Fellow ship/R eunion
This year promises to be different from any of the past fellowships.
The name thi.s year has been changed
to the Fa.11 Fellowship and Reunion.
The name is explained simply. With
the new name we have made an effort
to reunite all our old brothers
fro rn the local area. and the e.ntire
country. The location has been
moved closer to home, our very own
MEMPHIS STATE UNIVERSITY-S outh Carnpus, also known as the old VA hospi tal (Map page 5) . Instead of a
weekend event the fellowship has
been divided into two days. On
Sat. Sept. 12 registration will
begin at 9: OOAM at the baseball
field at MSU (South Campus). The
The Quest and chapter events will
begin at 10:30AM with a briefing
at the Baseball field, Most events
will take place on the football
field and in the Kennedy Complex
swimming pool (come prepared with
athletic and swimming attire).
Activities will break for an hour
at 12:30PM for lunch. Two options
will be offered for lunch. Participants can bring a sack lunch
(drinks will be sold) or they can
*FUN*'

go to a nearby fast food place.
The Quest will pick up again at
1: 45PM with a. briefing at the baseba.11 field. At 5:00PM dinner,
which is provided in your fee, will
be served. After dinner there will
be a brief meeting for nominations
for officers. To cap the evening
off movies will be shown until 10:30
PM at which time the dayB activities will come to a close.
On the following day the annual
\......-Business and Lodge meeting will be
held a.t 2:45PM. This will allow .
every Arrowman to be able to attend
his own church services in the
morning. This meeting will take
place in the cafeteria of St. Annes
school at the corner of Highland
a.nd Kearney in the MSU area (Map
p. 5). At this Lodge meeting
fellowship patches will be given
to participants and fellowship
business will be wrapped up. Most
importantly, however, will be the
elections of lodge officers for
the coming year. With your help
this fellowship can be ~ruly successful •. Help ma"l;e ~his a S1_icces~ful

There is something for ever~one.

Sorry about all the typos in June's puzzle. In spite of all the errors. Elbert
Rich of Troop #145 was the first Arrowman to complete the puzzle.
******* CONGRATULATIONS *******
This month's puzzle is a word jumble. Belc><.1 are eleven words with the order of the
letters changed. The task set before you is to arrange the letters to form words that
pertain to the Order of the Arraw. The letters in parenthesis can then be arranged
to form the "mystery word." The first member to complete the jumble should call
Jeff Jenkins at 767-1907 in order to receive recognition in next issue's puzzle.

If you read last month's issue of the
Thunderbird with even 5% of your attention. you would have noticed that there
were quite a few mistakes which slipped
by blind John Fanguy as he typed the
final draft. They included three different ways to spell Slackford• a fire
house full of mistakes in the Word Seek.
We hope to elim.inate all errors of typographical nature with the addition of
News Editor Jay Kissell and also you.
Yes. if you are beginning to ~et tired

They included three different
ways to spell Slackford• a fire
house full of mistakes in the Word Seek.
We hope to elim.inate all errors of typographical
nature with the addition of
News Editor Jay Kissell and also you.
