HOW TO GET STARTED
PRE RALLY MEETING
PRESENTATION OF TICKET SALES PLAN
TO YOUR UNIT
·(To be held before Kick-off)

1. Get boys seated comfortably and quiet.
2. Tell about prizes boys can earn, as shown on the Prize Incentive Flyer.
3. Instruct your boys on good sales techniques.
a. Wear Your Uniform b.
b. Be Courteous
c. Be Neat and Clean

d. Take Your Time
e. Tell The Story
f. Smile

4. Have two teams, of two Scouts each, put on short, snappy demonstrations on the "wrong way",
and then on the "right way" to sell tickets, based on the suggestions given in No. 3.
5. REMIND BOYS TO: DO THE FOLLOWING ON THE DAY OF THE TICKET SALES KICK-OFF.

i11

i':i

a. Put their tickets in an envelope and write their name and address on it.
b. Turn in money for tickets sold at your Unit report dates. (usually a Troop or Den meeting)
c. Urge them to dress neatly in full uniform and to make all efforts to sell their initial issue of
tickets that first day.
6. In order for your Unit to take full advantage of the Kick-Off day of March 5, we encourage you to
set up a Unit meeting at your regular meeting place and to distribute and sell tickets on the
Kick-Off Day. You will find that the enthusiasm of that day will create an excellent atmosphere for
sel Ii ng tickets.

LET'S GET ORGANIZED
Does this sound like a big job? Well, it depends on the size of your Unit. If your Unit is large, maybe
you will want several assistants, one for each Den or Patrol. Assign Patrols and Dens to diffeent
neighborhoods so a duplication of effort won't be made.

MYSTERY PRIZES
Hundreds of Mystery Prize coupons will be placed in homes throughout our Council. When a Scout

for his Mystery Prize. Drawings will take place at the Scout Exposition on April 14 ONLY. '
HOW TO GET STARTED
PRE RALLY MEETING
PRESENTATION OF TICKET SALES PLAN
TO YOUR UNIT
·(To be held before Kick-off)

2. Tell about prizes boys can earn, as shown on the Prize Incentive Flyer.
3. Instruct your boys on good sales techniques.
a. Wear Your Uniform b. d. Take Your Time
b. Be Courteous e. Tell The Story
c. Be Neat and Clean f. Smile
4. Have two teams, of two Scouts each, put on short, snappy demonstrations on the "wrong way",

5. REMIND BOYS TO: DO THE FOLLOWING ON THE DAY OF THE TICKET SALES KICK-OFF.
