My fellow Arrowmen,
We all took upon ourselves the obligation of our ordsr to, among
other things, observe and preserve the traditions of Brotherhood,
Cheerfulness and Service and to regard the ties of our brotherhood as
lasting and to be unselfish in service and devotion... .
i challenge you to live up to your obligation. Our Scout Executive,
Supreme Chief of the Fire, has given each of you a method by which you
may demonstrate your commitment to the objectives of our order. This
method is the formation of "Chapters".
Our new lodge will begin the 1995 year under this Chapter structure.
A Chapter , for those unfamiliar with the term, is like a finger or
thumb on your hand. Most of us have four fingers and one thumb- five
in all. We will havs five Chapters. Each when working together makes the
job of the hand (your Lodge) that much more effective and easier. When
given a task, or service to perform by the brain (the Council), the hand
depends on the coordination and cooperation of its fingers to be
successful.
Therefore, the Chapter's duty is to carry out the program
developed by the Lodge to meet the request and needs of the Council
Camping Committee and Scout Executive to further Scouting and the

camping program.
You are needed to be a part of your area chapter. Your participation
will make your Chapter strong and help your Lodge as a whole be
successful as we meet our obligation.
Followin g are the groupings of Districts into Chapters and the first
Chapter Meeting locations and times. It is vital that you attend. Class A
uniforms and sash are to be worn. Election for Chapter Chief and other
positions will take place. Duties of the Chapter Chief , other positions,
and more specific outline of Chapter functions and Lodge functions will be
covered.
